New 10″ vinyl record from Pink Twins, Inwards to Infinity, will be out soon. The record features music made with defunensemble, the premiere Finnish group specialized in performing new electroacoustic music.

Side A features a single track, Before Forever, a piece for ensemble and tape, performed by defunensemble and recorded live at Musiikkitalo, the brand new Helsinki Music Centre, in September 2011.

Side B, titled Inwards to Infinity, is made of 50 locked grooves, mixing cello, flute, clarinet and harp by the defunensemble players with Pink Twins electronics. The locked grooves were presented in a multichannel installation in the recent Pink Twins exhibition at Galleria Sculptor in Helsinki.

Inwards to Infinity was composed, produced and mixed by Pink Twins in Helsinki during 2011. Mastering by Teemu Korpipää. Vinyl cut by Christoph at Dubplates & Mastering, Berlin. The record is a multi-coloured pink splatter vinyl, in heavyweight gatefold sleeve. Sleeve notes by Mikko Kanninen.

Release date: 2 March 2012. (Mail order available here earlier!)
